Studio Stunlock Studios announced that their free-to-play survivor vampire game V Rising will be free to play from October 28 to November 1 to celebrate Halloween this weekend. Players also get a chance at earning some Halloween-themed DLC.

Awesome Games Done Quick, a week-long video game speedrunning marathon event, raised over 3 million dollars for the Prevent Cancer Foundation. This a new donation record for the annual event that delivered a virtual event for two years in a row due to the current state of the pandemic.

The Awesome Games Done Quick 2022, the annual week-long marathon showcasing amazing speedruns of your favorite games, is back and now live from January 10 until January 16. It’s a charity event where all proceeds go to cancer research and is easily one of the big gaming events to look out for at the start of the year.

The Entertainment Software Association confirmed that E3 in 2022 will be a digital-only event and says the main reason for the decision is “due to the ongoing health risks surrounding COVID-19”. This marks the second year in a row that the E3 has skipped an in-person event due to the ongoing pandemic.
