Injustice: Gods Among Us - Batgirl Trailer

So Batgirl's trailer is finally out. And while I'm not still completely diggin' the cowl on her but it looks better than I initially thought.

I'm getting a very 60s and 90s feel from this Batgirl. The 60s part being the colors on her costume. Purple was the main color of her costume back in the Adam West Batman days. Not exactly the best color for sneaking around in the dark but it's cute. The 90s vibe that I'm getting from her is that her gadgets seems to come out mostly from her gauntlets. Sort of like a kid's disc launching role-play toy. Her super is a bit on the goofy/cheesy side as well, at least before the spiked heel stomp.

From the footage, I can't tell how she'll play but she's got the Spider-man web swinging intro, that zipline move, and some ninja smoke bombs. I hope that her character power is different from Shazam's though. We've got enough electric fists.

Oh, and a new Joker costume is in the video too. I hope that the background music in the video is also included when Batgirl comes out.

Rockstar has just released twelve new delicious screenshots for Grand Theft Auto V. I just can't contain my excitement for this game any longer. I swear, you'd think that these were all promotional art instead of gameplay. Just look at the river bed. I want this game in my pants! NOW!

Saints Row IV - Meet the President

What's better than being the President of the United States of America? Being a super powered President of the United States of America.

A new trailer for Saints Row IV shows the president (your character) showing off some of the super powers that you can do in the game to fight off the alien invasion. This game is looking nice. Having played and enjoyed Saints Row The Third, I can already tell that is going to be even better.

Star Wars franchise stays alive, EA signs multi-year publishing deal with Disney

LucasArts may be dead, but thankfully, EA has stepped up and signed a deal with Disney to develop and publish Star Wars games. As much as we have a love/hate relationship with EA, they are the right company for the franchise...no, really.

John Pleasant, Disney Interactive’s Co-President issued the following statement:

“This agreement demonstrates our commitment to creating quality game experiences that drive the popularity of the Star Wars franchise for years to come. Collaborating with one of the world’s premier game developers will allow us to bring an amazing portfolio of new Star Wars titles to our fans around the world.”

Now EA gets rights to do publishing and developing of Star Wars games, but when it comes to mobile, social, and online games, Disney will retain the rights to developing those types of Star Wars games.

This is actually good news since EA has studios like Bioware(KOTOR, Star Wars: The Old Republic, Mass Effect), Visceral Games (Dead Space franchise), and DICE (Battlefield 3) as possible developers for future Star Wars games. This franchise just seems to fit well with EA, but hopefully they don't "DMR" use and make everybody hate them all over again. For now, I'm happy.

Injustice Gods Among Us Batgirl DLC Announced

From what looked to be an accident, Batgirl has been announced as the next DLC character for Injustice: Gods Among Us.

She appeared on Xbox live for download but would stop when the progress bar reaches 99%. Nether Realms has come clean by formally announcing her as the next DLC character after , "the main man", Lobo. Not sure how I feel about her character design. The helmet looks reall big, as if she's rocking a giant brain under there and the claw / spike gauntlet things that look like the accessories you'd find with old 90's action figures. The claws don't bug me as much but I really hope they give us some sexy costumes to go along with Batgirl because I really don't like that Bat forehead.
