Deus Ex sites hacked, 80,000 registered users at risk

First Sony now this? C'mon, is hacking the new trend today?

From Destructoid;

Oh for f*ck's sake.

Hackers have apparently decided to lay off Sony for bit, picking a new and unlikely target. The websites for Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Eidos have recently been attacked, with the personal data of 80,000 registered users stolen, in addition to 9,000 resumes.

According to Krebs On Security, both sites temporarily sported a banner that read, "Owned by Chippy1337." Yet again, Anonymous has been brought up as a potential suspect, but with members of that "organization" currently eating each other, one cannot say this happened as part of a concerted effort.

Either way, this is bad news. I really hope the hacking of game companies doesn't become a "thing" now.
