New Zelda Game for 3DS

So this is exciting news. Nintendo just revealed a new The Legend of Zelda game for the 3DS.

This new game does not have a full title yet but it will take place in the same world as The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. The 3D effect will come in as Link can literally traverse to new heights in areas via platforms that can launch him into the air.

Aside from the whole springing Link up to higher platforms, he has a new ability. Link can now become a 2D wall drawing and slide across to reach areas that he is unable to access via normal means.

A Link to the Past was the first Zelda game that I played and I think that that game holds up to this day. Revisiting that world in 3D is just hitting all the right nostalgia parts on me. And the best part about this? The game will come out in the holiday season of this year!
