PUBG Mobile's Big New Update Adds The Miramar Map

Miramar, the desert-themed map in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, arrives on PUBG Mobile today by way of the game’s new 0.5.0 update.

The map was originally added to the PC version of the game in December last year, but has yet to come to the Xbox One. Set in rugged yet harsh deserts with expansive cities, Miramar sets the perfect stage for epic battles. It’s a stark but deliberate contrast to the lush, rolling hills of Erangel. But that’s not the only exciting part of the 0.5.0 update.

PUBG Mobile gets new in-game and social features to enhance players’ ability to work cooperatively with their teammates. Also, a language-specific chat system lets players communicate a little better. A shop has also been added where all-new vehicles and weapons are available, as well as a “Secret Stash” where items are available at special discount.

Naturally some technical improvements accompany the update, including improved sound effects and camera smoothness, and adjustments to the speed and feel of the parachute. The new patch signals the beginning of PUBG Mobile’s second season, which suggests new cosmetics incoming and of course, a reset to seasonal achievements. Players can now tackle weekly progress missions to unlock rewards

PUBG Corp. have yet to announce when the desert map will be available on Xbox One, but the developer recently held its third Miramar test on Xbox One, so Xbox fans are hoping it goes live this month.

PUBG Mobile is available for free download on the App Store and Google Play. For more information and updates on PUBG Mobile, check out their official accounts on Facebook, YouTube and Twitter.
