Rockstar Games' Many Hits Are Going For Cheap In This Humble Bundle

The Humble Store has put up a new bundle up, and it's a remarkable offering that features the many varied games of superstar developer/publisher Rockstar Games.

The new Rockstar Humble Bundle like many, many bundles before it features three different price tiers, each higher tier netting you more and more games from Rockstar's extensive catalog of hits, all redeemable on Steam. That includes stuff like Bully, Max Payne, Manhunt and the Grand Theft Auto series.

Granted, I'm not the biggest fan of the company's occasional slips into juvenile humor and tendency to punch downwards against women, minorities and the disabled, but it's hard to deny that the company has brought us some shining gems in terms of gameplay and unique subject matter.

Give one dollar and you'll get the original Max Payne, Manhunt, Grand Theft Auto III and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, all pioneering works from the publisher's oeuvre. Give more than the current average -- hovering around $9.50 as of this writing -- and you'll add Bully: Scholarship Edition, L.A. Noire, Max Payne 2 and Grand Theft Auto San Andreas to your checkout.

Finally, you can go whole hog for a whopping $15 and add Grand Theft Auto IV, Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City and Max Payne 3 as well as DLC for L.A. Noire. Between all those Grand Theft Autos, you hypothetically never need to buy another video game again. And that might be true... until the next great bundle.

The deal closes on February 13th, and all charity proceeds -- a staple of the Humble Bundle model -- will be donated to Rainforest Alliance, a biodiversity and conservation oriented non-profit that works to transform land use and consumer behavior for the better.
