Let The Game Director Of Ace Combat 7 Guide You Through The Latest Demo

Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown was at Gamescom 2017 and a new video was released showing off a mission sortie with Game Director Kazutoki Kono doing commentary.

The aircraft used in the demo is the Typhoon. While watching the demo, everything that makes Ace Combat great was present, even the dramatic dialogue between other pilots seems to be in check. But what really caught our attention was the weather effects that disrupt your vision. This isn't new to the series but the detail shown in the demo was enough to raise some eyebrows. Rain hits the cockpit hard and the low altitude dogfight in those kinds of weather conditions is probably going to be the biggest highlight for Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown.

The latest trailer, which you can watch above, ramps up the drama for the game's story. There's a princess involved, a city under martial law, and more of the silliness that you'd come to expect from the franchise.

The last Ace Combat game was a Free-To-Play title released in 2014 called Ace Combat Infinity, but the last numbered release, Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation, was released back in 2007. Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown will be the first game in the franchise to be released in the current console generation and is planned for a 2018 release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
