Gwent Finally Hits Public Beta

Gwent, the strategy card game by CD Projekt RED, is finally leaving closed beta and has entered Public Beta. This simply means the game is now available for the public on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is probably one of the best games to come out in this generation of RPGs, with side quests so well-written that you could easily find yourself happy to do any quest that comes your way. Then they throw in Gwent, a mini-game built inside Witcher 3 as a form of mini-game. Long story short - I was obsessed with it. It's a card game with a unique gameplay mechanic and the community also expressed their love for the mini-game that left us distracted from Geralt's main objectives. The developers noticed, and just like that Gwent is now its own game.

Perfect timing too - the popularity of Hearthstone, Shadowverse, and other card games popping up these days give Gwent a chance to grow past its Witcher fanbase. From what we have played, it's the same game found in Witcher 3 but with more flashier animations and of course more cards to play around with.

It's Free-To-Play now and will stay that way once it's officially released. Gwent is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Get the downloads going and get more details on this card game on its official website.
