Moments after announcing that Bayonetta 1 and Bayonetta 2 would be coming to the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo's Reggie Fils-Aimé showed off a trailer for Bayonetta 3 at The Game Awards.

Following an awkward bit of banter in which Reggie asks in mock indignation, "You thought I came all the way here for just one announcement?" the teaser trailer for the third installment of Bayonetta was presented.

Not much in the way of details or insights was presented about the upcoming game, though Fils-Aimé stressed that this was "for all of the fans that love what Platinum Game does." The trailer declared that Bayonetta 3 is "now in development for the Nintendo Switch," which could mean that it's still in the earliest stages of production, but knowing that it's officially coming is sure to get fans excited.

In any case, it's good to know that Nintendo's commitment to the Bayonetta franchise is now rock solid, knowing that all three Bayonetta games will be playable on one of their greatest platforms.
