Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age Passes One Million In Sales

Once considered a franchise pariah, Final Fantasy XII has now hit a major milestone, at least as far its remastered version is concerned. Square Enix announced today that total worldwide shipments of Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age now exceeds one million units.

That number includes worldwide shipments and digital sales and is a testament how retroactively beloved the game is. The PlayStation 4 remaster was released in July, and in addition to remastered HD graphics and a re-recorded soundtrack, also featured a revamped battle system and neat features like a high speed mode to help grind faster. 

“Thank you to all the fans for helping us reach this milestone,” said producer Hiroaki Kato in the press release. “We are overwhelmed with the response from both new players and fans of the original."

To commemorate the milestone, Square Enix released a new illustration by Isamu Kamikokuryo and a remastered version of the original title screen trailer. You can take a look at both of them below:
