When Titanfall 2 was released, Respawn Entertainment made it clear that post content will be given completely free. No more season pass, and no more divide between the community. We are now in 2017 and they now ready to talk on what content to expect in the first quarter of 2017.
Live Fire Mode
On February, with no specific date given at this time, the Titanfall 2 community will be given a new game mode called Live Fire.
"Live Fire is a fast-paced round-based 6v6 pilot only elimination mode. Each round gives players only 60 seconds to eliminate the enemy team or take control of the neutral flag. The team that holds the neutral flag when the timer runs out wins the round regardless of how many players they've lost. Knowing how and when to pick up the flag is a core aspect of the mode's meta." says Griffin Dean, the designer behind the mode at their recent news post on their official website.
There will be two maps coming in specifically for this pilot-only mode and more details were given here. trailer is said to hit in the coming weeks to announce the new batch of content for February.
On March, we get a new map, well, sort of. Colony, another known map back in the first game, will be coming to Titanfall 2 this March.
New content is always great, especially when you have a new map entering the rotation, but the new Live Fire mode is questionable considering that the player base is not large enough to support it's current game modes. Maybe this mode will be the preferred mode in the future for avid players but remains to be seen, especially since this new mode will not feature Titans coming from the skies.
