Crossfire set to alight Philippine e-Sports

Crossfire is one of those games you see a lot of in the local gaming scene but just seems to become lost in the sea of free to play Counter-Strike clones. But global Publisher Smilegate Worldwide is looking to change that by pushing their game to the forefront of the Philippine e-Sports scene this October 14-16 at the SMX Convention Center, where not one but TWO major gaming events will be taking place – The Crossfire Stars National Finals, and the Crossfire Stars Invitational.

The Crossfire Stars National Finals will have 16 home grown Filipino teams battling it out for a USD 20,000 prize pool, with the champion moving on to represent the country at the CFS Grand Finals to be hosted in China this coming December.

Alongside this however and more exciting will be the CFS Invitational, which will be the first international tournament for CrossFire to be held in the country. Teams from the Philippines, Brazil, Vietnam and China will be duking it out for a USD 30,000 prize pool. If the past international e-sporting events this year have been any indication, this is looking to be another big draw for the future of Philippine e-Sports.
