Capcom revealed their latest IP at Gamescom called Remember Me,a futuristic action title set in Neo-Paris in the year 2084. You play the role as Nilin, a memory hunter that has the ability to enter people's mind to either steal or manipulate ones memories. She gets her own memories erased and is now in search on who she is.
Remember Me's gameplay focuses on melee combat and some Uncharted-like climbing. Stealing and manipulating memories is also part of the core gameplay. Right after the announcement trailer was revealed, a 7 minute gameplay video was released showing you a memory hunter at work.
First look of Remember Me was shown way back in last year's Gamescom with a working title ADRIFT during 2011 and only teased people with concept art of Neo-Paris.
Remember Me is being developed by a newly formed French studio called Dontnod Entertainment. Remember Me is scheduled for a May 2013 release and will be on Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
It's looking pretty good. The plot and setting remind me of the movie Total Recall. What sets it apart is the whole memory stealing and changing memories, which I'm curious to see what else we could do with this ability. Capcom
